As you know, we’re focused on ending homelessness with housing, and to that end, we’re hoping for more & more donations of household goods that we can give to people moving into their own apartments. To make room for that, we’ll no longer be doing clothing here – it’s a well-met need in our community & with plenty of other clothing closets around, we don’t want to duplicate what’s already being done…we want to fill in gaps instead. We’ll continue to take socks & underwear as well as winter outerwear to share with folks who need it, but we’ll be sending all other clothing donations to Haywood Street Congregation, a great community partner of ours that’s only a block away.
So keep sharing your clothing with folks who need it at Haywood Street, and keep up your generosity towards our clients by donating the items on our wish list. We appreciate you!
